Author Guide

All articles published in TÜZDEV Journal must adhere to the writing style and format of the American Psychological Association Publication Manual (7th ed.). The abstract of the article should not exceed 250 words. Articles in the journal are published bilingually. If the article is in Turkish, an English full text will be requested upon acceptance, and if the article is in English, a Turkish full text will be required. Tables and references should follow APA style. The manuscript must be prepared in Word format (.doc, .docx) and comply with the rules provided in the template available in the Writing Guidelines section. The article, including abstracts, references, and tables, must not exceed 10,000 words. The manuscript must not have been accepted or published, in whole or in part, by another journal. The full text of the manuscript should not contain any author information.

A separate file containing author information must be uploaded under the "Supplementary File for Editors" section. This file should include the authors' names, surnames, titles, affiliations, departments, email addresses, phone numbers, short biographies, and details if the article was presented as a conference paper or derived from a thesis.

In accordance with the ULAKBİM TR Index 2019 publishing principles, all authors of accepted manuscripts must have an ORCID number. After registration, please link your ORCID ID with your eJournal account via the Author Dashboard.

Submitted manuscripts are reviewed by the editor and sent to at least two subject-matter experts for peer review. After the peer review process, the editor makes the final decision regarding the manuscript. Accepted articles are published in the issue determined by the editor.

All articles are managed through the e-Journal Management System, an online article management platform. The submission, review, evaluation, and other processes are conducted entirely through this system. Before publication, each article is subjected to plagiarism detection.

Accepted articles in TÜZDEV Journal go through the following stages: plagiarism control, reference formatting, citation and reference verification, layout and typesetting, DOI assignment, and early online publication. Articles published in early view are included in the volume and issue deemed appropriate by the editorial board.

Plagiarism Check

As part of its publication ethics, TÜZDEV Journal mandates a plagiarism check for all studies that have undergone the "Double-Blind Peer Review Process" to maintain their integrity. Both Turkish and English versions of each study are subjected to plagiarism screening by a firm approved by the editorial board. Any financial responsibility for this process lies with the author(s).

Layout and Typesetting

TÜZDEV Journal requires articles to have a consistent and complete page layout for structural integrity, readability, and compliance with standards. Following plagiarism checks and reference formatting, the page layout and typesetting of accepted studies are carried out by a firm approved by the editorial board. The financial responsibility for the preparation of the page layout and print copy lies with the author(s).
